About
I am a professional hoop dance instructor.
Skilled in teaching beginner to expert hoop dance.
I have over 9 years consistent experience teaching, performing and hand crafting hoops.
I love that though teaching hoop dance I teach people the tools to help themselves. They all of a sudden become more positive, more confident, more healthy, more creative, more peaceful and more joyful.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We decide a meeting point and time of day. Then we begin learning from wherever they are in their hoop journey. They can tell me before what they would like to work on or I can start them off at a certain point in my curriculum. If they are new to hoop dancing completely we will need to do a "hoop fitting lesson" to find out what hoop size they need to start learning. I bring a variety of hoop sizes to each lesson as well.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I teach professionally 10-15 hours a week. I have three consistent private clients a week. I teach at the University of Texas off and on and also hold hoop workshops off and on.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Private lessons last an hour and can be booked for up to two hours at a time. Price is $45/hour. You will get an emailed trick list and as many supplemental tutorial videos as I can find online.
If I travel to you and the time to get there is over 10 minutes there is a $5 add on travel fee. Time longer than 15 minutes there is a $10 travel fee.
How did you get started teaching?
I ran my own flow group out of Georgetown Texas for 6 years. We were 30 strong.
What types of students have you worked with?
All types.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Hoop camps just concluded. I taught three this summer. It's the only time I teach children. In just a week it's magical to see them grow.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Hoop dance is all muscle memory, because of this it's important to hire a teacher at first to make sure you don't memorize any bad habits. Memorizing bad habits into your muscle memory will slow down your hoop dance progression in the future.
