    I have really enjoyed working with James. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and easy going. The sessions are filled with information and he pushes you to a new level so that you can achieve the goals you have set. James has never been pushy, trying to constantly get me to buy more sessions or train with him more than I am able to. I laid out my goals, explained my situation and he took the time to go over my medical history and physical strengths/limitations so we could hit the ground running on our first session together. If you want to make a change, you have the willingness to put in the effort and to do as he tells you. You will achieve your goals.

    I am still working with James, but I've loved having a supportive and understanding trainer who pushes me to not only be better in the gym, but in every day health decisions. After the first consultation, I was provided with personalized macro and calorie information tailored to my goals and my body. One thing that is great is there is no strict diet plan, you're able to eat what works best for you, but the goal is to keep it within your protein, fat, carbohydrate and calorie limits for the day. You will never starve! I've been working with James for 6 months and to date, I have lost 25lbs and made noticeable muscle gains from head to toe. I've loved working with James and am still working with him to date, he is extremely knowledgeable and has set me up for success in my continuing fitness journey!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

All new Personal Training/Fitness clients require purchasing a consultation prior to beginning any health/fitness training services.*Movement Assesments for Hypervolt Movement Enhancement is included with sessions*

A comprehensive collection of client data in regards to:

- Medical History

- Health History

- Fitness History

- Current Eating Habits

- Desired Goals

All the above and more is used to better understand the clients objective and allow a more detailed plan to be discussed to bring about the desired results!

Once the consultation is completed including answering any questions the client may have that is relevant to consultation both parties will determine if there is a "good fit" to continue forward.

Be it Online, Phone, Email or In Person sessions James' sole desire is to ensure a game plan is created, that will ensure to fit within the dynamics of the clients Lifestyle/Work/School, budget and relative time frame!


What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

24yrs as a professional in the field of Health & Fitness with several certifications directly related to Personal/Group Training, Basic Nutrition, recently certified as Hypervolt Movement Enhancement/Recovery Specialist along with a Diploma in Massage Therapy.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

The proof is in the trainers "pudding" as anyone can have many certificates or lengthy "paper credentials" but if they do not (or even appear to) look like they practice what they preach that is a red flag.

If they have a couple of clients that have reached successes in the areas you are looking for past or present then they are worth while checking into.

A good "connection" with your trainer is key as is their credibility built by what they do for their own health goals!
